Wono Yoruba Soul Mix Premier

The Miami’s web magazine Electronic Groove has premiered my forthcoming single Wono – Yoruba Soul Mix.

I feel so privileged that my hero Osunlade remixed one of my tunes from the forthcoming album. It’s just like “Dream Come True” for me that he transformed the tune into super deep and spiritual Afro House.

The single will be released on digital this Friday 27 September then 12″ vinyl to follow. Pre-order is available now from the Olindo records bandcamp.

Jingo new single preview

My forthcoming single “Jingo” is previewed by Canadian web magazine “Music Is My Sanctuary“.

http://www.musicismysanctuary.com/exclusive-premiere-koichi-sakai-ft-afla-sackey-jingo-olindo-records

It’s a classic Afro tune written by legendary percussionist Babatunde Olatunji which was released in 1958, and also well known for the Salsoul remake version by another master percussionist Candido, Jingo has been always my favourite tune and this is my homage to those legends. I produced this track with Afla Sackey the master percussionist from Ghana, who I have a huge respect of his talent for not only the percussion but also the singing and songwriting for his own band Afrik Bawantu. I believe he will be one of those legends for sure.

Digital will be released on 27 September then 12″ vinyl will follow hopefully around the beginning of October. You can also pre-order from the Olindo records bandcamp.
